Hello! Hi how r u?
I hope you're doing well, staying safe, feeling sane, and very happy. I am most if not all of those (thanks for asking). Tomorrow it's my birthday, so I've been in one of those moods as I consider my own mortality, while simultaneously being incredibly grateful for life and friends and family and music and art and love. I've also been reading a lot (more below), and for the first time in six months I'm on a pretty even keel I think. I'm back!
Right, bad news and good news time.
Bad news; because the extension of lockdown we've postponed the Love Will Save The Day party - it's of course the right thing to do, but doesn't stop my crushing sense of disappointment at not getting to dance with you in a tiny sweaty basement to brilliant music.
Good news; this week we've got an incredible guest, an incredibly eclectic mixtape (the most eclectic ever, I reckon), and a bumper TL;DR Section. Woohoo!
So this week I'm excited to introduce our guest as Anne Frankenstein, DJ, Jazz FM presenter, columnist for The Big Issue, founder and presenter of the fabulous What Goes Around podcast, voice over artist for the BBC, and talking head on upcoming music telly shows! I had so much fun chatting to Anne about all sorts of things - from getting started in radio, to digging in New Orleans, to birds eating baby birds - we covered a lot of ground🙂. You can follow Anne on Twitter here, Instagram here, and Facebook here.
Anyway, get stuck in!
See you on the dancefloor,
Jed x
PS. If you're new then this is how it works. Here’s what you’ve missed so far. And this is me.
PPS. If you're still reading this bit here, then would you mind sending this email on to a few friends that might like it? Or tweeting or posting on on Facebook about it?
🌪 TL;DR Section 🌪
The TL;DR Section is a little different at the moment, as I've been trying to read more books, so naturally my other reading has shrunk a little.
